Who's Who at Paragon
Emily  Metzger, Level 1/2 dance, Performance
Basics/Rehearsal assistant

Emily has trained in classical ballet as well as modern and jazz since a very
young age. She has performed on stages throughout the country including
the Byham here in Pittsburgh. Favorite roles include the Sugar Plum Fairy in
The Nutcracker and Swanhilda in Coppelia.

Emily was on her college's competitive ballroom dance team for four years
as well as acting as president and rehearsal assistant.

Before concentrating on dance, Emily trained in musical theatre, performing
such roles as Tess in
Annie and Chava in Fiddler on the Roof. Emily has
also performed at Sea World and Disney World in Florida.


Emily is currently co-choreographing Paragon's production of
The Sound
of Music


She recently graduated from Covenant College with a degree in Psychology.
Laura Haley,  Level 1 & 2, voice

Laura recently graduated from the Randolph Academy for
Performing Arts, a two year intensive musical theatre program in
Toronto, Canada. While at Randolph she studied voice, acting, and
dance, and performed in
My Favorite Year and Pride and
Prejudice,
as well as many cabarets and studio performances. Other
favorite shows include
A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Hermia),
Company (April), and Children of Eden (Yonah).

Laura most recently appeared as Miss Hannigan in
Annie and Tituba
in
The Crucible. She will play Maria Rainer in Paragon's January
production of
The Sound of Music.

While in high school, Laura studied acting, voice, dialects and musical
theatre at Paragon and performed at Walt Disney World, Sea World,
and Hersheypark.
Deborah Loffredi, owner/ instructor

Miss Loffredi opened Paragon Studios in the fall of 2004 and it has
quickly become one of the most respected studios in Pittsburgh.

Deborah holds a B.F.A. in Acting from Point Park University with a
concentration in Musical Theatre. Before moving back to Pittsburgh, she
was the director of youth theatre at a multi-arts center in central
Pennsylvania.

In addition to performing and teaching at Paragon, she regularly works as
consultant to groups and independent movie companies here in Pittsburgh.
Deborah has also worked on several movies, TV shows and commercials
and was employed as a performer at Walt Disney World's Magic
Kingdom in the parade/show division.

Favorite roles include: Philia in
A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to
the Forum
and Bella in Lost in Yonkers. She was most recently seen as
Elizabeth Proctor in Paragon's production of
The Crucible.

She is represented by The Talent Group in Pittsburgh.
Scott Metzger, substitute instructor/rehearsal assistant

Scott holds a B.A in Communication from Geneva College and an A.S.
in Liberal Arts from CCAC.

He has been performing and training in the arts since a young age and
has performed in countless shows across Pittsburgh and beyond.
Favorite roles include: Charles Surface in
School for Scandal
(Geneva), Sergius Saranoff  in
Arms and the Man (Geneva) and
Roberto in
Working. He most recently appeared as Louie in Lost in
Yonkers
here in Pittsburgh.

Scott acted as president of Geneva's college swing dance club  and was
also a member of the Genevans, (a classical choir) performing over fifty
concerts around the country. He performed in over one hundred
concerts throughout twenty-five states and three foreign countries with
Geneva's elite, nine-person touring group, New Song. Scott also
performed at Disney World and Sea World.

Scott is employed full-time in downtown Pittsburgh and is a graduate
student in Duquesne University's M.B.A. program.

He m
ost recently appeared as John Proctor in Paragon's production of
The Crucible and will play Captain Von Trapp in Paragon's January
production of
The Sound of Music.
